View quoted postdamn, this went better than expected π€― the tweet didn't blow up yet, we got an instant $10k+ MRR that's the state of backlink: - people say "never buy them" - but they fuel AI citations... - so every big brand gets them anyway and Outrank is now the most relevant offering

View quoted postMarc Lou spent 90 minutes in the tmaker Founders Room and answered everything the gems that stuck with me: 1. his DataFast launch got 1,000 likes and $300 MRR. that's what his entire audience was worth. word of mouth took it from $300 to $25k/month. an audience gives you a shot, it doesn't make the product work 2. he builds "clickbait features". before shipping anything he asks: would users screenshot this? the DataFast globe exists because of that question. your customers sharing beats you promoting, every time 3. he doubled his prices with a 30-day notice to existing users. MRR 2x'd. (maybe I pushed him on this one π ) 4. his whole AI setup is Codex + localhost. yes, that's it no agent stack, no 10 subscriptions he said 90% of new AI tools are just noise. he is the most productive shipper I know and he has the most boring stack 5. he never kills projects, he "lets them be" all 35 of his projects are still live, support still answered one of them had zero customers for a month, he kept using it himself and kept shipping.. first customer came 2 days before our call next Friday, we do it again opening the tmaker Founders Room for the next 4 days so you can join: http://tmaker.io/founders see you there

RTβEzra π Exceeded 7k MRR today!! Here are 3 things I do for marketing every day that have helped: 1. Bazzly β Been using @bazzlyai from @FilipPanoski. Definitely recommend it for finding leads on reddit. I know for sure we've converted some customers from this channel. But, also appreciate that it helps GEO/AEO by getting your product name out there on reddit. We're getting quite a bit of traffic now from ChatGPT and seeing Perplexity and http://Claude.ai show up more too. 2. Outrank β Kinda love @outrank_so from @tibo_maker. I built my own in-house process for writing content, but it still took quite a bit of management on my end and it didn't help us build backlinks. Now we're at 12DR and hit 300 clicks in the last 28 days. 3. Meta ads β Wasn't sure how profitable meta ads would be for us, but it's turning out to work well. It's obviously a much more expensive way to grow, but with the above a lot of our marketing is on auto-pilot. Going to keep focusing on these 3, but curious about other channels like LinkedIn and even focusing more on X. Haven't been super focused on X lately since the above has been working and I've been putting most of my energy into improving the product. Improving our conversion rate across our funnel and our retention our top priorities right now.
the leaked MrBeast production doc has a great lesson for founders his team kept defaulting to cash prizes - $20,000, every video so one day he pushed back and said give away a year's supply of Doritos instead and look at the math 5 packs a day Γ 365 days Γ roughly $1 a pack = $1,825 funnier prize, more memorable video, and 90% cheaper same pattern shows up in business constantly when we hit a wall, whether it's an aggressive competitor, slowing growth, or something else, our first instinct is often: more ads, let's pay influencers, hire another contractor, or just buy the tool that promises to fix it money is the easiest lever to reach for because it takes no thinking and sure, spending more can sometimes be the right move but a creative version of what you already have, built with the resources already in front of you, is usually the better one for bootstrapped founders

View quoted posthigher price = lower churn sounds wrong but let me explain we launched Tweet Hunter at $9/month then raised prices, slowly $9 -> $19 -> $29 -> $39 -> $49 over roughly 12 months price went up 400%, and churn went DOWN here's what I have learned about pricing and churn from that: 1. churn is decided at signup, not at cancellation your pricing is a psychological filter on who comes in a bad-fit customer will leave in a month or two max. with low prices they come in fast because $9 says "it's someone's weekend project" and $49 says "it's a serious business built for serious operators" 2. the buyer changes with price, so the behaviour changes often if a $9/month user does not see value, they cancel right away (at this price, users generally come in to try or buy on impulse) but a $49/month user comes in with a goal and they usually try harder to get the value from it and if they have issues, they raise support tickets that make the product better what cheap pricing actually costs you: 3. cheap customers are the most expensive ones low prices don't just bring in users who leave fast, they bring in the most demanding people you'll ever serve more unreasonable feature requests, more support tickets, more refunds, and less revenue to cover any of it. I still do support on all 6 products, so I feel this one directly 4. your pricing decides what kind of users you let in, and that changes what YOU build low prices quietly cap what direction you take your product in how to actually raise prices: 5. raise slowly and ship while you raise $9 to $49 overnight is a completely different move than $9 to $49 across a year of shipping we shipped a lot on Tweet Hunter in those 12 months and I could see the difference in who was signing up 6. do not change the price for old users because for an old user, leaving means losing a rate they can never get back strongest retention lever I know that's lock-in though, not fit. split your churn by old price and new pric...

View quoted postRevid isn't a video generator anymore quick context: we rebuilt the whole thing over the last few months and I never properly explained why this year every AI video tool got access to the same models. same Sora, same Veo, same Seedance. we're all one dropdown away from each other so "my clips look better than yours" is not a moat. everyone's clips look insane now and pretty clips still flop. mine included π my test account: 17 posts, 5,396 views in 30 days not exactly viral .. the hard part is now different: it's knowing WHAT to make. which hook, which format, what's moving in YOUR niche this week so that's what we built: - a library of millions of viral videos feeding every generation - search any topic, see what's trending across socials - Revid watches channels in your niche and pulls the outliers every day - deep analysis: the hook, the format, the structure, explained - one click to remake it for your niche - it posts and tracks results, so you know what to remix generation was never the moat knowing what works is
Outrank now lets you tell it what to research for keywords topics, angles, audiences. what to focus on and what to skip for eg: - "we sell to agencies, not freelancers" - "never suggest anything with 'free' or 'template' in it" - "prioritize comparison searches against ahrefs and semrush" - "skip how-to guides, we only want buyer intent" it saves those as global keyword instructions. write it once, every keyword research cycle after that follows it.
what an incredible move from Tally π€― (not affliated) they made their form builder (almost) 100% free i find it incredible smart because: - they become the obvious choice for ChatGPT to recommend - serious big buyers will still buy - occasional buyers won't but they was churning anyway i am impressed π
